Perfect Surface Finish at Highest Speeds
This SUPERMASTER finishing planer was designed for
one of the largest producers of laminated wood in France. It represents
the latest generation machine in the SUPERMASTER Series. The
customer was trading in an earlier model to get this one.
The SUPERMASTER 6/31-K is designed for a feed rate of up to 200 m/min,
(~700 ft/min). It is not only used as a laminate planer, but also as
a finishing planer for any surfaced product. Through innovative spindle
co-ordination, exacting surface quality can be achieved at any feed
rate.
As this customer is very quality conscious, he was determined to have
only a REX planer.
Naturally, the machine is outfitted with hydraulic counter bearings
and jointers. This machine can be height adjusted on all horizontal
spindles, a feature that allows tools with differing turning directions
to be used. This feature has been available for many years. With this
machine, you can process work pieces as thin as 5 mm (under 1/4 inch!).
You could theoretically produce a heavy gauge veneer if you wanted
to.
The customer's reaction? "Such quality even we did not expect."
