Rex
planers include specialty design, such as adjustable upper
unit thicknesser for timber and plastic - even metal is
being processed with these machines. But it is with these
three timber systems, SuperMaster, BigMaster and TimberMaster
that Rex really makes their mark. They can be configured
very much the same way, starting with 2 shafts, and can
each be expanded to 12 shafts. The key differences involve
the design, weight, and size of the blade drums and their
bearing systems, which determine how fast the machines
can process and produce finished timber products.
Top-of-the-line machine: SuperMaster
- Feed speed up to 1050 ft/min
German
top quality technology for best surface quality at highest
automated speeds. These machines are deliverable for planing
widths up to 1,830 mm (6 ft).
- A powerful high-speed custom-made planing machine:
- heavy-duty construction
- high-performance feed systems
(up to 300 m/min)
- high-performance bearings
- hardened wearing
surfaces
- shorter tool-up times thanks to HYDRO technology
- ultra-modern CNC technology
- problem-free mechanisation
- computer-controlled shafts (SPC) and machine functions
Professional:
BigMaster
- Feed speed up to 660 ft/min
Heavy-duty
machines for high production and flexibilty.
- We adapt ourselves to your requirements and deliver you
YOUR machine - just as you need it.
- The "REX" modular
principle offers you the option of variably positioning
a limitless number of output shafts. Your planing and
moulding creativity will be unlimited!
- You will be able to optimise
production output of naturally curved timbers with the
floating vertical shafts
- Programmable position control
units with interfaces for remote data transmission.
- Output
shafts with bearings on both sides, high-precision spindle
bearings and a variety of options.
Produce
profiled log or boards, or glulam. Width of up 2,600
mm (8.5 ft). Can be mounted on turntable, ideal for
curved glulams.
Commercial:
TimberMaster
- For planing speeds of 17 ft to 100 ft/min
- Working widths from 310 x 860 mm and heights to 320
mm.
Multi-functional
automatic planer that offers all the ability of the above,
but at an entry level that meets many more budgets. The
TimberMaster can process cants, glulams, log profiles,
two-by material, tongue and groove, etc.
at a most affordable price. It can also be delivered
as a two-sided machine.
Rex planers use a cardanic drive
shaft system that feeds even wet and frozen wood. Interchangeable
tool systems (cone or hydraulic tensioning, reversible
blade and spiral systems) make any timber processing possible.
All Rex Planing and Moulding machines will be delivered
with customized safety dust and noise protection cabin
on request.

Rex planers are available in a standard configuration,
but are usually custom designed to meet your process
requirements, e.g. multi-spindles, for chamfers and profiles
or slitting. These are truly exceptional machines and a
select group of customers make purchase decisions every
year. Lead times approach 12 months.
Customer will do machine inspection
before final delivery, and training will be performed at
the factory in Germany.
Installation and additional training
can be provided.
