Automation
To increase the flexibility of the Gama 75 V 4-Axis, the machine is
equipped with four automatic axes:
- Electrical saw blade inclination 90° - 30°
- Electrical revolving of machine table 270°
- Electrical lateral movement of machine table approx. 550 mm
- Electrical saw blade hight positioning 0 – 295 mm
Plus an endless measuring system with a special magnetic
measuring device.
Completely
protected machine base
for optimal safety and protection
Pneumatic
clamping cylinders
Two vertical clamping cylinders will lock the cutting material
securely on the machine table, each having a distance of
400 mm from the saw blade (saw blade position 90°) |
Laser
light
The laser light for cross-cutting produces a red line on the
material prior to the saw blade cut. |
DUO
Drive units
The dual drive unit system is equipped with an in-feed-roller,
out-feed-roller and special press-rollers below the material.
These rollers are pneumatically connected to the rollers above.
The press-rollers work like pliers, pressing against the timber
only, not the roller table. When rip-cutting different sensors
control the position of the timber. The drive units are moving
up and down fully automatically. The rollers have a distance
of 2,250 mm (88 in.).
Cutting with maximum speed, the shortest length of the timber
must be at least 2800 mm (110 in) in order to allow a complete
crossing above the table.
Technical data:
Geared feed motor P2 = 1,1 kW /
feed power F = 1000 N, with infinitely variable
speed settings via potentiometer 0.2–36 m/min |
Drive
unit extension (optional)
The DUO drive unit system can be equipped optionally with a
second roller each in direction to the saw blade / machine table.
The distance will be reduced to 1330 mm (52.4 in.). Cutting with
maximum speed the shortest length of the timber now will be 1700
mm (66.9 in.) in order to allow a complete crossing above the
table.
Aluminum back fences
Torsionally rigid aluminum profiles 120
x 120 mm are used as a back fence to the roller tables. |
Measuring system, endless
Conventional measuring systems normally have a fence where the
material will be pushed for measuring. The AVOLA measuring system
works completely differently. Instead of a pusher system it works
easily with a special measuring device (carrier). This device
searches for the end of the timber on the in-feed side and drives
with 2 m/sec to the end of the in-feed table. Afterwards a very
small metal point is fixed into the timber and the measuring
process commences. |
During
positioning, the measuring carrier now will be pulled at the same
time the drive units are transporting the timber. Equipped with
a magnetic measuring system the accuracy is 0.1 mm, independent
of the total length of the measuring material. Accuracy of positioning
is +/- 1 mm. The advantage of this measuring system is that the
carrier is able to drive forward and backward. If the positioning
length is longer than the carrier capability, the process will
be interrupted, the carrier drives back and finally starts again
until the end of the positioning is reached. Significantly, the
in-feed roller table does not need to be as long as the workpiece. |

of saw blade - inclination, revolving table, lateral movement,
in-feed speed and positioning of workpiece. |
